Classroom Rules

1.    Be on time, books open and ready to begin, when the second bell rings.

2.    Come prepared to class – bring your notebook, binder, pencil/pen, ruler, calculator, textbook, etc. every day.

3.    Show respect to all individuals in the classroom, both teacher and students.

4.    Copy down notes that are written on the board.

5.    No eating in the classroom.  You can drink water, juice, etc., but remember to dispose of your garbage when you leave.

6.    If you know ahead, let me know if you will be missing a class.  Assignments are posted weekly on my faculty page.  Go to:  www.nbchs.lskysd.ca/;  Faculty;  Mrs. D. Nichol

7.    You are responsible to find out what you have missed when you are absent from a class – assignments, handouts, etc.

8.    If a student misses an exam without an excused absence, a mark of 0% will be earned for that unit.

9.    If a student misses an exam and has been excused, they must make arrangements with me to write the exam outside of class time.  This must be arranged the first day the student is back in the classroom.

10.   Turn your cell phone OFF when entering the        classroom.
